Association for Autism and Neurodiversity

The Association for for Autism and Neurodiversity (AANE) provides education and support to neurodivergent individuals, helping them succeed in life.

The Association for Autism and Neurodiversity was founded in Massachusetts in 1996, then known as the Asperger's Associattion of New England. The goal is to provide education to neurodivergent individuals, their families, and professionals working with them. They started out as advocates for services for autistic people of all ages, and focused on local, state, and national funding for supporting needs.

In October of 2014, the AANE changed its name to the Asperger/Autism Network to reflect the changes in the DSM-5. In September 2023, it again changed its name to the Association for Autism and Neurodivergency, to acknowledge their support of other neurodivergent individuals.
