988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Hotline (formerly known as the National Suicide Prevention Hotline) is a free hotline that provides mental health support to those who are or have a loved one considering suicide or in emotional distress. It is free and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout the United States. The Lifeline is made up of over 200 local crisis centers. It also offers specific support for LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as those in or who have served in the military.
